In Dortmund, automotive enthusiast and entrepreneur Jean-Pierre “JP” Kraemer, founder of JP Performance, has announced a new major project for his company. The plan is to build a modern karting track and an adjoining hotel on the site of the former Rush Hour nightclub, which will be demolished to make way for the new development.
The planned development will include a state-of-the-art karting circuit with facilities designed for races, training sessions and recreational use by visitors of varying skill levels. In addition, a hotel is to be constructed to provide accommodation for participants and guests on-site.
According to regional media reports, the project’s investment volume is estimated at over 10 million euros. The initiative aims to create a new leisure and entertainment destination that will appeal to both local residents and visitors from the wider Dortmund area.
JP Performance is widely known for its work in the automotive sector, custom tuning and multimedia content. The new location is expected to expand the brand’s presence in the fields of active recreation and motorsport entertainment.
